FOR DISPENSARIES STILL ON A LEAFLOGIX CONTRACT

LeafLogix pricing and LeafLogix POS cost now that LeafLogix is Dutchie POS

The short answer

LeafLogix has no price of its own anymore. Dutchie bought LeafLogix and Greenbits in March 2021, and Dutchie's own LeafLogix page now says LeafLogix is "no longer operating as a standalone cannabis point-of-sale and back-office system" and that its capabilities continue in Dutchie POS. So a LeafLogix price today is a Dutchie POS quote. Dutchie publishes no rate card; third-party directories report roughly $499 to $1,000 a month per location for the software, with setup and payments billed separately. Because the move is a new contract, it is the one moment a former LeafLogix customer can compare that quote with vendors that publish their price, such as Cova from $349 and IndicaOnline from $240 a month.

Moving off LeafLogix means signing a new contract. Read it like one, not like a renewal.

Most people searching for LeafLogix pricing fall into two groups. Some are operators whose registers still say LeafLogix and who have been asked to move to Dutchie POS. The others found the name in an old software roundup and want to know whether it is still an option. The answer to the second question settles the first: the product is gone, leaflogix.com now redirects to a Dutchie page headed "LeafLogix Is Now Dutchie POS", and greenbits.com redirects to a matching page for Greenbits.

This page sets out what LeafLogix was, what replacing it actually costs, which numbers come from Dutchie and which come from someone else, and how to use the forced switch to get a better contract than the one you had. We are a directory for state-licensed dispensaries. We do not sell or resell point of sale software and take no referral fee from any vendor named here.

Why it works

What to settle before you move off LeafLogix

Treat it as a new purchase

Dutchie POS is a different contract with a different price, not a version upgrade. Ask for the monthly rate per location in writing, the setup fee, the term and the renewal increase, exactly as you would from a vendor you had never used.

Export your history before anything changes

Pull customer records, loyalty balances, sales history by SKU and open inventory out of LeafLogix while you still have access. Dutchie says its team guides you through the transition, but your own copy is what lets you check the import and leave later if you need to.

Separate the payments price from the software price

A competitor's own Dutchie comparison says some Dutchie pricing comes with a requirement to use Dutchie's payment processing. Ask for the software price with and without Dutchie payments, so you know what the rail is costing you.

Check the back office came with you

LeafLogix was sold as a seed-to-sale ERP for multistate operators, with cultivation and batch management alongside the register. If you used those modules, confirm which Dutchie product now covers them and whether it is priced separately.

Use the deadline as leverage

A forced migration is the only time an incumbent has to win your business again. Get at least two published-price quotes before the Dutchie call so the number you are negotiating against is real.

Confirm your state's tracking system

Dutchie says it supports Metrc, BioTrack and custom systems. Ask which one your store reports to, how often it syncs and who fixes a failed upload, because that is where a migration breaks first.

How it works

Four steps, in the order that actually pays

1

Export everything from LeafLogix

Customers, loyalty points, product catalog, inventory by package ID and at least a year of sales. Store it outside both systems.

2

Get the Dutchie POS quote in writing

Per location, per module, with setup, hardware, term, renewal rate and the price with and without Dutchie payments on separate lines.

3

Price two vendors that publish

Cova and IndicaOnline both put their rates on their own sites. Use them as the floor, then ask a quote-only vendor such as Meadow or Flowhub to beat it.

4

Run a reconciled cutover day

Whichever system wins, run old and new side by side for one trading day and match the totals and the state report before you switch off the old register.

How much does LeafLogix cost?

LeafLogix costs nothing to buy today because it is no longer sold. Dutchie acquired it in March 2021, and Dutchie's own page says LeafLogix "is no longer operating as a standalone cannabis point-of-sale and back-office system." What a LeafLogix customer pays now is a Dutchie POS price, which third parties report at roughly $499 to $1,000 a month per location.

LeafLogix itself never published a rate card either. Software directories that still list it describe custom pricing with no free plan, and one long-running review called it not very transparent on price. So there is no historical LeafLogix figure to anchor on, and any number you see attached to the name today is either a Dutchie quote or a guess.

The practical point for an operator is that the price you were paying under a LeafLogix contract does not carry over by right. Moving to Dutchie POS means new order paperwork, and new paperwork is where the monthly rate, the setup fee, the term and the payments requirement all get set again. See our Dutchie pricing breakdown for what is reported about each of those lines.

  • Standalone LeafLogix price today: none, the product is retired.
  • What you are quoted instead: Dutchie POS, quote-based.
  • Reported Dutchie POS software range: $499 to $1,000 a month per location.
  • Reported extras: setup around $349, basic ecommerce near $299 a month, payments billed separately.

Is LeafLogix still available?

No. LeafLogix is not available as a separate product, and Dutchie says so in a FAQ on its own site. Both leaflogix.com and greenbits.com now redirect to Dutchie pages announcing that each "Is Now Dutchie POS." Dutchie also says most former LeafLogix customers have already moved, which is the vendor's own description and not something we can check.

If a software comparison still lists LeafLogix with features and a star rating, it is out of date. That matters because those pages often place LeafLogix next to vendors that are very much still selling, and a buyer can end up shortlisting a product that cannot be bought.

What happened to LeafLogix and Greenbits?

Dutchie announced the purchase of both companies in March 2021, at the same time as a $200 million Series C round that valued Dutchie at $1.7 billion. Terms of the two acquisitions were not disclosed. LeafLogix was a seed-to-sale ERP aimed at multistate operators, and Greenbits had sold a dispensary point of sale since 2014.

In August 2022 Dutchie launched its own point of sale nationally, describing the two acquisitions as a way to jumpstart that development and combining LeafLogix's configurability with the rest of its platform. It shipped alongside a dual-screen register. In other words Dutchie POS is not simply LeafLogix with a new logo, and features you relied on should be checked one by one rather than assumed.

Should I switch from LeafLogix to Dutchie POS or to another POS?

Switch to Dutchie POS if your ecommerce already runs on Dutchie, if you want one vendor for the register, online menu and payments, and if the written quote lands near the low end of the reported range. Look elsewhere if price certainty matters more than one-vendor convenience, if you do not want your payments tied to your register, or if you run several stores and the per-location rate adds up.

The vendors that publish their price are the honest benchmark. IndicaOnline publishes $240 to $680 a month billed annually across four tiers, and Cova publishes $349 to $599 a month by workstation count. Meadow is quote-only but sells one flat fee per location with unlimited seats in a handful of states, and Flowhub publishes only a $420 social equity rate. For a single store, two published quotes plus the Dutchie quote is enough to know whether you are being offered a fair number.

Our Dutchie alternatives comparison covers the head-to-head questions in more depth, and the cannabis POS comparison by price lines up every major platform.

How do I migrate from LeafLogix without losing data?

Export before you are asked to. Customer profiles with loyalty balances, the product catalog, inventory tied to your state package IDs and at least twelve months of sales are the records that matter, and they are hardest to rebuild if the old system is switched off first. Keep a copy outside both vendors.

Then reconcile, do not trust. Run the new register alongside the old one for one full trading day, compare totals by payment type and compare the state tracking upload. Expect four to eight weeks from signature to first sale, most of it spent on the tracking connection and data checks, as our guide to switching dispensary POS systems sets out step by step.

Does a new POS bring customers through the door?

No. A register records sales, it does not create them. Whatever replaces LeafLogix, adults choosing a shop still compare menus, prices and hours before they leave home. A claimed Dispensaries listing puts your live menu and deals next to other licensed shops for a published $99 a month, cancel anytime, so the system you are about to pay for has customers to serve.

Questions owners ask

LeafLogix pricing, answered

LeafLogix is no longer sold, so it has no monthly price. Former customers are moved to Dutchie POS, which does not publish a rate card and is reported by third parties at roughly $499 to $1,000 a month per location, plus setup and payment processing. Get the quote in writing for your store count.
LeafLogix is owned by Dutchie and has been folded into Dutchie POS. Dutchie bought it in March 2021, and its site now says LeafLogix is no longer a standalone product. Dutchie POS launched in August 2022 and draws on LeafLogix and Greenbits, but it is a newer product, so check each feature you depend on.
No. Dutchie's own FAQ says LeafLogix is no longer operating as a standalone point of sale and back-office system, and leaflogix.com redirects to a Dutchie page headed "LeafLogix Is Now Dutchie POS". Any comparison site still listing it as an option is out of date.
The same as LeafLogix: Greenbits was acquired by Dutchie in the same 2021 deal, greenbits.com redirects to a "Greenbits Is Now Dutchie POS" page, and the price is a Dutchie POS quote. Nothing is published for Greenbits on its own.
You have to move to something, because LeafLogix is retired, but not necessarily to Dutchie. The migration means signing a new contract, so it is a fair moment to get quotes from vendors that publish their pricing, such as IndicaOnline and Cova, and compare them with Dutchie's written offer.
For one store, start with a vendor that publishes its price. IndicaOnline Core is $240 a month billed annually with two registers, and Cova Boutique is $349 a month with Cova Pay for up to two workstations. Meadow and Flowhub are quote-only. Compare all of them against Dutchie's written quote.
The real comparison today is Dutchie POS vs Meadow, since LeafLogix is retired. Meadow sells one flat monthly fee per location with unlimited seats and lets you choose your payment processor, but only operates in a handful of states. Dutchie covers far more markets and bundles ecommerce and payments. Check Meadow serves your state first.
Dutchie does not publish its fees. Third-party reports put a one-time Dutchie setup fee around $349, and whether it is waived for a customer moving from LeafLogix is a negotiation point. Ask for it to be waived in writing, because the migration was not your choice.
