Refund Policy

Who this covers, why a charge is not reversed once a billing period has begun, and the three situations where it is. In force from October 14, 2026.

Who this policy covers

Searching Dispensaries costs shoppers nothing, so there is nothing to refund there. This policy covers the two things we charge for: the Dispensaries+ shopper membership, and the listing and advertising plans dispensary owners buy (Listed, Featured and Market Leader). It is part of our terms of service.

Charges are final

Each paid plan is a subscription in US dollars, billed either monthly or once a year, and charged at the start of the billing period (a month or a year). For an owner, that period buys the listing, placement and tools of the plan shown on the pricing page. For a shopper, it buys the Dispensaries+ features. The period is open in full from the moment it is paid, and the fee stays the same whether the listing drew ten calls or none and whether a member used the extras or not. For that reason we do not reverse a charge, outside the three cases below.

Paying for a plan is a request to start it immediately, and you accept that any statutory right of withdrawal or cooling-off period ends when it starts.

Ending a plan

Monthly plans renew every month and yearly plans every year until you cancel. You can cancel at any time by emailing support@dispensaries.co from the address on your account. The next period is then not charged, and the plan stays active until the current paid month or year runs out. Days left in the period are not paid back, and switching to a smaller plan or to monthly billing does not return anything for the current period.

A period that has already been charged stays charged, even if you cancel a day later. If a renewal payment fails, it is still owed for a period that has begun, so it is attempted again over the next few days. Those attempts cover one open invoice and are not new charges, and a period paid after them is not refundable either. To stop the next period, cancel before the renewal date stated in your confirmation email.

Requests we decline

  • Fewer menu views, calls, direction requests or store visits than an owner hoped for. Plans sell visibility, not customers.
  • A dispensary that closed, lost or paused its license, or changed hands during a paid period.
  • A listing or ad paused because it broke our terms, state rules on cannabis advertising, or the 21+ requirement.
  • Prices, menus or stock shown by a dispensary that turned out to be different in store. Dispensaries is a directory, not a seller.
  • A shopper who joined Dispensaries+ and rarely used it.
  • A renewal nobody cancelled in time, or one cancelled just after it was charged.
  • Expecting a one-off payment. Every plan is recurring, monthly or yearly, as the pricing page, checkout and confirmation email state.
  • A feature that is not on the pricing page, or that works differently from what you assumed.
  • The wrong plan, or use of the account by someone you shared your login with.

Three cases where money goes back

Each needs to be supported by our records, and the amount is capped at what was paid for the period concerned.

  • Two charges for one period. Our billing took payment twice for the same month or year by mistake.
  • A charge you did not authorise, and can show. Your card was used without permission, you report it within 14 days, and our records and those of our payment operator confirm it. A statement alone does not decide it, and we may ask you to confirm that your card issuer was told.
  • The service failed completely. A confirmed fault on our side kept your paid listing or membership from working at all for a continuous period, you reported it while it was happening, and we could not repair it. Short outages, slow pages and problems with your own device or connection are excluded.

Returned money goes to the card that paid, settles our full liability for that charge, and does not open a right to another return.

How to ask

Send an email to support@dispensaries.co from the address on your account within 14 days of the charge, stating the date, the amount and which case above applies. Requests made later or another way are not reviewed, and a declined request is not reopened.

Records we keep

Signing up means accepting the terms of service and the privacy policy, which include this policy. The checkout shows the plan, the price, the billing period and the automatic renewal before you pay, and your confirmation email repeats them.

For every plan we keep when it was bought, the plan and price shown, your acceptance of the terms, the emails we sent, and the account activity log (sign-ins, listing edits, menu updates, plan changes) with the technical details stored next to each entry. Our payment operator keeps its own record of every charge, including where the card was issued, where the payment came from and the outcome of any bank verification. Claims of an unauthorised charge are assessed against these records.

Chargebacks

Talk to us before your bank. A chargeback opened without contacting us first breaches the terms of service and the account is closed permanently, and we give the card issuer the records listed above.

Earlier purchases

Plans paid for before October 14, 2026 stay on the terms that applied on the day of payment.
